When someone from a tainted life heals enough to create this much glory, we all need to pay attention. I received a copy of this book in the mail and read it in the next few days. Yes, it's not easy reading. So what? It was harder to live though it. RK Riley has not only lived and healed, she has found a deeply moving way to share her life, tainted or not, with us. This book stays by my bedside, and I'm ordering copies for all my friends.

This book is a must-read for any survivor of abusive situations. This collection of poems is powerful, gut-wrenching and emotional. In some of the writings, I feel as if the author is speaking directly to me and that I am right next to her. Some poems depict raw emotion and are dark, deep and disturbing. While, on the other hand, other poems reflect hope, light and healing. I am looking forward to reading the next collection of poems from this author and applaud her courage to share her experiences in the hopes to help other survivors.
Never judge a book by it's cover. Deep down we never know what life has handed anyone. Walk a mile in their shoes, they may not always fit. Books speaks volumes.
